Specialist Provision Support Officers

Pay: £14.36 per hour, 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Location: Ipswich / hybrid - 2 days per week in the office (one of them must be Tuesday)

Length of assignment: 6 months

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Suffolk County Council for temporary Specialist Provision Support Officers to undertake a comprehensive range of administrative duties to support the efficient delivery of services within Children and Young People's Services, Inclusion Service. The responsibility of the Children and Young People's Directorate (CYP) is to ensure the safety, well-being and learning of children and young people.

Typical responsibilities for this role are day to day administrative activities related to SEND and inclusion, data entry on Excel, liaising with internal and external colleagues, support the effective management of contracts. You will be required to collate and record data in an accurate and timely manner to ensure key documentation is issued prior to placements.

Amongst the posts available is also an opportunity to support Lead Officers and attend review visits across Suffolk, where you will be required to take minutes recording contractual discussions. Travel arrangement will be discussed at the interview.

The successful candidate will ideally have proven administration skills, an ability to organise own workload and keep accurate records. The role requires someone confident with finances as we need to process paperwork that supports the forecasting of spends and is in keeping with agreed prices. We also seek someone who is a confident and clear communicator both written and verbal with good IT skills. Experience in the area will aid this, but we use well established formal processes, and you will be able to draw on the support of experienced colleagues.

Interviews will be held in person, DBS check will be carried out prior to start, along with completed 3 years reference history. Candidates will need to commit to ASAP start once completed.
