Your Role
Nether Stowe School is seeking to appoint a highly organised and detail‑focused Data and Exams Manager to lead and manage the school's student data systems and examinations processes. This is a key role within the school, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effective use of data to support school improvement, alongside the smooth running of all internal and external examinations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the administration and management of all internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and awarding body requirements.
* Act as the main point of contact for examination boards and ensure all entries, amendments, and results processes are completed accurately and on time.
* Manage the school's Management Information System (MIS), maintaining accurate student data and ensuring data integrity across all systems.
* Produce and analyse data reports to support senior leaders, middle leaders and advocates in monitoring student progress and outcomes.
* Coordinate assessment data collection cycles and support staff with data input and analysis.
* Manage the secure handling of examination materials and ensure all procedures meet JCQ regulations.
* Organise and supervise invigilation arrangements, including the recruitment and coordination of invigilators where required.
* Support the leadership team with statutory returns, performance data, and reporting requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience working with school data systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor or similar MIS).
* Knowledge of examination processes and JCQ regulations (or willingness to develop this expertise).
* The ability to analyse and present data clearly to support decision‑making.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* The ability to manage multiple deadlines and work calmly under pressure during key exam periods.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement of the role.
We will carry out an online search about you for information that is publicly available online. This will include social media accounts you may hold. This will only be carried out on shortlisted candidates and before interview. This processing of data will be conducted under the legal basis of Article 6(e) public task in line with the guidance laid out in para 226 of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025.
