St Audrys Golf Club St Audrys Golf Club is a 9-hole course situated in a picturesque parkland setting close to Woodbridge in Suffolk. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an assistant green keeper. Additional training can be provided, making this a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and with a genuine interest in contributing to the quality and presentation of the course. The Role · Position: Assistant Green Keeper at St Audrys Golf Club. · Hours: Full time 37.5 hour week with flexible hours and with some weekend work. · Remuneration: circa £26K per annum dependent on experience. · Benefits: 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) Regulatory Pension Scheme Professional development opportunities PPE clothing provided by the Club Key Responsibilities · Assisting the head green keeper with the daily maintenance of the golf course · General groundskeeping tasks include mowing, watering, greens and bunker maintenance. · Where appropriate, able to operate hand and power tools and relevant mechanical equipment. Requirements/ Person Specification Essential: · Enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions. · Physical fitness commensurate with the nature of the role. · Reliable, punctual and with the ability to work alone. · Attention to detail, taking pride in their work. · Good communication skills, able to follow instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues. · Flexibility. Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and early mornings as required. Desirable: · Previous experience in green keeping an advantage. Alternatively, experience of groundskeeping, landscaping or a similar role. · Equipment knowledge: Familiarity with the safe use and basic maintenance of greens keeping tools and machinery (training available) · Basic plant knowledge: An understanding of turf, plants and landscaping techniques. · Health and Safety awareness: Commitment to safe working practices and procedures.
