Quality Engineer

We're seeking a Quality Engineer to join a leading aerospace organisation, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement across engineering projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems, software, hardware, and mechanical design projects, contributing to the highest levels of design assurance.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage external QA interfaces across projects.
* Review and approve design and development documentation to ensure compliance with quality systems.
* Create and maintain Quality Plans aligned with stakeholder, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
* Audit project lifecycles for adherence to aerospace standards including ARP4754, DO-254 (ED-80), and DO-178C (ED-12C).
* Ensure customer requirements and design review criteria are met across all development activities.
* Oversee conformity assessments and ensure lifecycle data integrity.
* Manage deviations in design processes and lead corrective actions.
* Support subcontractor compliance and facilitate internal/external continuous improvement initiatives.
* Act as a key point of contact for quality-related guidance and information.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Quality Engineer Skills & Experience: Awareness of AS9100, ARP4754A, DO-178B/C, DO-254, and aerospace regulations (civil & military).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage subcontractors.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, and conflict management abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based tools.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
