Located in the beautiful village of St Michaels in Tenbury Wells, St Michael Abbey School is looking to appoint a Houseparent for its newly established boarding house. This is a Full-time, residential, permanent position commencing January 2026 or before.
The role of Houseparent is residential and will be responsible for the smooth running of the House and for the wellbeing and happiness of its pupils. The Boarding House Parent is of central importance to St Michaels Abbey School Boarding. They care for boarders in their day-to-day life, in the way parents would, ensuring boarders are happy, safe, smartly dressed and ready for learning. This role is crucial to working towards an ‘outstanding’ boarding school and promoting St Michaels Abbey School Boarding as the destination of choice in the local area.
Free residential accommodation – term-time and holidays
Up to 16 weeks’ ‘school holiday’ each year
Free meals (3 per day) during term time
Equivalent of at least one full day off per week and up to two days dependent on weekend shift.
Working hours usually permit staff to be off-duty between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm each weekday
Your gross salary package is made up of annual salary, Free accommodation and utility costs.
