Are you a commercially minded procurement professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for building strong supplier partnerships? Centrado is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations, drive efficiency, and support strategic supplier relationships.
You will manage a small team and oversee all aspects of purchasing—from raising orders and managing stock levels to supplier negotiations and process improvement. What will you be doing for us?
* Raise and manage purchase orders for stock and materials
* Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely reordering
* Liaise with UK and international suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery
* Track inbound shipments and coordinate with logistics and customs partners
* Maintain accurate procurement records and update ERP systems
* Resolve supply chain issues, delays, and discrepancies
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and import regulations
* Support the Managing Director with data insights for strategic supplier accounts
* Lead supplier performance reviews and contract negotiations
* Oversee SKU setup, lifecycle management, and discontinuations
* Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
* Collaborate with Finance on budgets, cost control, and payment terms
* Mentor and develop the Purchasing team, supporting recruitment and onboarding
* Drive continuous improvement across systems, workflows, and team performance
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in purchasing/procurement, ideally in import/distribution
* Strong understanding of international supply chain processes
* Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
* Proficient in spreadsheets and ERP systems (e.g. Sage, NetSuite, SAP)
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Experience with customs documentation and Incoterms
* Familiarity with EU or Far East suppliers (desirable)
* CIPS qualification or working towards it (advantageous but not essential)
