Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Data Exploitation Engineer to support new business opportunities and existing product platforms, mainly fixed and rotor wing aircraft.

We deliver contracts to UK defence customers including E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Chinook & Apache Fleets support, Logistic Information Services and Training Services, with continued growth.

Role and Team
As a Data Exploitation (DE) Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to support and review fleet data analysis, drive digital data exploitation, and develop core capabilities to identify and implement data-driven enhancements that improve business and programme performance. You will report to the DE Team Lead and BDUK Support Engineering Manager, with technical support from other specialists within the department.
In your role, you will:
* Utilise aircraft fleet data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making and enhance operational performance
* Work closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across all projects
* Set, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for DE activities to measure progress and success
* Drive continuous improvement in data exploitation processes and methodologies to optimise efficiency and effectiveness
Aside from technical work there is potential to support company initiatives, including quality improvements, safety culture, Diversity and Inclusion, mentoring and coaching, STEM outreach, and other focus projects to support growth.
Essential Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills)
* Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain UK SC security clearance
* Bachelor of Science degree: from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
* Data Proficiency: Experienced in working with data and software, with advanced skills in data analysis, modelling, and calculations
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, including the creation of dashboards
* Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Familiarity with how Data Exploitation integrates with R&M, Design, Dependability, Safety, ILS, and Asset Management
* Commitment to Quality: Proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality results
Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills)
* Aircraft Maintenance Experience: Prior experience in aircraft maintenance
* Data-Driven Environment: Comfortable working in a data-centric environment, using analytics to guide decision-making
* Defence Background: A background in the defence industry
* Effective Communicator: Strong communicator with a proactive, solution-focused attitude, committed to delivering high-quality outcomes

This role is an onsite position with flexible working hours. Important information: this requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not sponsor immigration or labour sponsorship. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. payroll.
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
