Salary: £26,403 - £27,254 a yearLocation: Primarily Council House plus Home working Hours: 37 hours a week Closing Date: 07th April 2026 Contract Type: Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a brand-new team supporting Derby City Council’s Adult Social Care (ASC) Services on their continuous improvement journey. Situated within the Adults Commissioning, Integration, and Market Development service area, this new team of skilled business support colleagues will work across five ASC service areas spanning the Council’s diverse social work, safeguarding and therapy teams, supporting a range of administrative activities in collaboration with colleagues and departments internally and externally to the organisation. As one of the team’s Activity Coordinators, you will be responsible for tasks including: • Maintaining the Council’s ASC case management system records relating to people that we support, including but not limited to, assessment details, health funding content, and contractual and provider information related to the provision of care. • People management support tasks including publication and dissemination of resources and maintenance of shared directories and sources of information; scheduling and managing meetings; being responsible for Duty team rotas; support with HR activities. • Issuing information related to jointly funded (with the NHS) placements and packages of care to system partners, including the Integrated Care Board (ICB), and facilitating financial data related to the cost of care. • Managing ASC Review waiting lists on behalf of social work teams, reviewing team ‘trays’ of allocated information in the case management system; and liaising with people at all levels, both internally and externally, with alerts and messages, information and reports as required. You will have excellent communication and influencing skills to build and nurture positive relationships and partnerships with a wide range of people, independently and as part of a team, and be both resilient and flexible to adapt to changing priorities, goals and circumstances in this dynamic work environment.
