Trainee Solicitor
General Overview of the position:

Ideally you will be a Law Graduate LPC qualified and already have under your belt a broad knowledge / understanding / work experience of the Conveyancing arena .
If you have already been fortunate enough to have had access to new build transactions / cases then that would be a bonus but this is not a pre- requisite client requirement so this is not a deal breaker if you have not.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Duties will include:
* Providing legal support as required on client cases;
* Organisation and tracking of client cases and files and maintaining information on relevant expiry dates;
* Proof reading and checking documents for accuracy;
* Undertaking technical and practical legal research including identification, collation, and distribution of information;
* Obtaining accurate initial information from potential clients;
* Assisting with a range of general office and administrative duties as needed.
* Comply with the procedures and standards set out in the Office Procedures Manual and with any and all relevant or appropriate professional training standards, keeping a proper record of work done and training received.
* Carry out all reasonable instructions from senior staff promptly and enthusiastically.
* Undertake certain elements of fee earning work under supervision. In particular:
* Generation of suitable correspondence.
* Making attendance notes.
* Drafting contract and Court documentation.
* Proof reading.
* Land Registry applications, searches and requisitions .
* SDLT applications.
* Client interaction, remote and in person.
* Research.
* Deal when eve possible with routine client and third party enquiries and communications.
* Manage the collation of matter start and matter completion data.
* Deputise for principals in their absence, passing urgent issues to another senior fee earner for guidance.
* Co-ordination of the key date reminder system as outlined in the Office Procedures Manual.
* Ensure that client matter files are kept up to date with correspondence and documents.
* May need to work after 5.30pm as work may demand.
