Job Purpose:
To perform all planned and unplanned hydraulic and mechanical work on our clients engineering hydraulic equipment, ensuring our clients assets remain at high levels of serviceability. Duties:
1. Planned Preventative Maintenance, Fault Diagnosis and repairs of all hydraulic equipment on the account
2. Load testing and certification of jacks, ensuring their safe operation, and initial inspection of new jacks on the contract
3. Ensure all work is conducted safely, and any contractors on site are supervised
4. Reacting to service requests from our client’s, driving to and locating equipment for PPM or repair
5. Follow work requests from start to finish, tracking multiple jobs at the same time and keep line manager and client informed
6. Effectively communicating work order progress to our customer and the other members of your team, informing your line manager of any issues that arise
7. Be a great team player - working as part of a wider team of 17 employees on the contract, providing the highest levels of customer service
8. Careful completion of all work order administration, ensuring IT work orders are complete and load tests are uploaded to the system
9. Complete any training requirements to safely carry out the role
10. Carry out any reasonable work request from management to contribute to the effective running of the contract
11. Control and manage critical spares for client’s equipment
Person Specification
Our ideal candidate will have/be:
12. A relevant C&G, BTEC level 3, ONC/OND or NVQ level 3 in a hydraulic / mechanical discipline
13. Full UK driving license
14. Be articulate, numerate and IT literate
15. Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision, effectively managing and prioritising your own work
16. Good all round knowledge of asset maintenance and hydraulic equipment, with track record of working on these assets (resealing cylinders and pressure testing equipment)
17. The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality and safety
18. Must demonstrate a willingness to comply with all health & safety laws and site specific rules
19. Experience working on pressurised gas systems would be advantageous
20. Have good decision-making and communications skills
21. Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels
