Through the wide range of our activities, we are central to the collective organisation of society and the living environment of citizens all over the world.

Job Description

The Egis Group has recently implemented a matrix model, introducing dual governance through the regions in addition to the Business Lines. Consequently, we have moved to consolidate corporate services in the UK to serve all Business Lines, delivering both dedicated business partnering and shared services.

This role forms part of the finance team in the UK, reporting to the Project Director and managing the delivery of shared services across the UK. The scope of the shared services covers payables and payroll, invoicing and treasury management, and reporting and compliance.

The finance function has been through a period of transformation over the past year, with entity specific finance resources being centralised into one UK finance team, and the migration onto a new ERP, Oracle. This role must now build upon that progress and ensure that all shared service activities have the correct level of stewardship, and demonstrable SLAs are in place, and regularly communicated to key stakeholders.

There is a strong emphasis on people management to ensure the successful functioning of the team. This role would be based at our Manchester office. We operate a hybrid working policy, this role would require 2 to 3 days in the office each week.

* Interact with management and conduct, perform, and submit financial report status reports, budget information, recommendations and problem alerts to management
* Develop and manage annual budget preparation, communicate actual to budget performance variances to department manager
* Act as project manager for finance and administration related projects on an as needed basis
* Manage external accounting and tax audits and all communication exchanges with external accounting firm or tax authorities

Qualifications

* Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ACA (preferred).
* Strong background in financial reporting, including preparing weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements.
* Hands-on experience in overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll administration, and managing banking transactions.
* Experience of working on projects with the Government would be beneficial
* Experience in financial forecasting, budget management, and performance analysis, including regular budget variance analysis.
* Familiarity with fixed asset management and financial reconciliation processes.
