Responsibilities
Linde Workshop Engineers play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of material‑handling equipment, including forklifts and other heavy machinery. Tasks include:
* Conducting routine maintenance checks and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety
* Performing pre‑delivery inspections
* Diagnosing and rectifying faults
* Undertaking preventative maintenance and preventive maintenance on a variety of products, from small electric pallet trucks to very narrow‑aisle and large engine‑powered counterbalance trucks
* Delivering exceptional service and support to customers while fostering strong relationships
Qualifications
* Experience as a vehicle technician or mechanical engineer, preferably forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, or vehicle technician
* Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is highly desirable
* Ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification – not essential
* Comfortable using IT equipment to maintain accurate records and place orders
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team
