We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Assistant – Medicines Efficiency to join the Pharmacy team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. This role plays a key part in supporting the Trust’s Medicines Efficiency Programme, helping to ensure the safe, timely and cost-effective supply of medicines for our patients. Working closely with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, you will support medicines homecare services, process orders and invoices, maintain accurate records, and contribute to service improvements across the Trust. You will also help monitor stock usage and support cost-effective medicines management. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment. Assist with medicines switch programmes and other efficiency initiatives to support cost-effective medicines use. Participate in ward, dispensary and distribution activities, including stock control, ordering and dispensing under supervision. Support the training and induction of new staff, contributing to a positive, collaborative and supportive pharmacy team culture. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Educated to GCSE or equivalent, to include English and Mathematics NVQ 2 Willing to undertake the Medicines Optimisation training (POD Assessment and Transcribing modules) if not already accredited.
