We are a forward-thinking and ambitious Further Education College based on the Wirral, committed to delivering outstanding teaching, learning, and student success.
We are now seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Quality Assurance to lead the internal and external Quality Assurance activities to ensure consistent and effective quality assurance across the College.
The Role
As Head of Quality Assurance, you will work in collaboration with Heads of Department and external stakeholders, overseeing the quality of all provision and implementing quality assurance solutions to consistently raise standards and achieve best practice. This role will also report on all elements of student voice and will monitor, analyse, and report on performance and progress as well as identifying areas for development and implement support.
Your responsibilities
* Leading on improvements in teaching, learning and assessment practices across the college to ensure the highest standards of education and student outcomes
* Implementing innovative and evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and ensure sector and industry best practice
* Lead, develop and effectively implement the College strategy for quality assurance and improvement across all provision types (including subcontracted delivery) to drive identified initiatives which ensure that college targets are met
* Lead on work with external awarding body organisations to ensure College compliance and performance, addressing areas for development and/or highlighting best practice
About You
* Experience of developing and using quality solutions to make substantial quality improvements within the Further Education (FE) sector
* Proven track record of improving teaching, learning, and assessment practices (including observing delivery staff and providing feedback)
* Strong understanding of awarding body requirements, assessment methodologies, and quality assurance processes
* Strategic thinking and planning skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and drive improvement
* Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent)
