The young people here are strong, determined, and each live with autism and complex processing needs. Their behaviours can include aggression such as hitting, spitting, hair pulling, or ripping clothes. Some express themselves through very challenging language - from racial abuse to graphic conversations - and others are drawn into online obsessions. Your role as Day Coach is to bring structure, calm, and consistency, helping them feel safe and supported through it all. What You'll Do As a Day Coach, you'll be in the middle of their daily lives, helping them feel grounded and safe: Support young people with autism, epilepsy, diabetes, and mental health needs. Manage challenging behaviours calmly using Team Teach and positive behaviour support. Provide personal care sensitively and professionally. Encourage daily routines, structure, and purposeful activities. Stay professional when faced with difficult conversations or offensive language. Keep accurate records and ensure smooth team handovers.
