Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: Rowde, Wiltshire
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000

Key Responsibilities:
1. Individualised Support: Provide tailored assistance to SEN students, including one-on-one support and group activities, to address their unique learning needs.
2. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement individual education plans and ensure students receive the support they require.
3. Engagement and Encouragement: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to participate actively in lessons and develop confidence in their abilities.
4. Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and development, providing regular feedback to teachers and adapting support strategies as necessary.
5. Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management techniques to support students in managing their emotions and behaviour in a constructive manner.
6. Resource Utilisation: Utilise a variety of educational resources to enhance learning experiences and accommodate individual student needs.
Requirements:
7. Experience: Previous experience working with SEN students, either as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, is desirable.
8. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
9. Passion for SEN: Demonstrated passion for supporting the educational and personal development of children with special needs.
10. Flexibility: Ability to adapt teaching strategies and approaches to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
11. Qualifications: While not essential, relevant qualifications or training in SEN support would be advantageous.
