About the Role
The Pharmacy Department at NHS Borders is seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist to lead on delivery of Pharmacy Education and Training. The post is available as a full‑time position with approximately 50% dedicated to Education and Training and 50% to clinical practice. Opportunities exist in primary or secondary care settings, depending on the successful candidate’s experience. Part‑time and hybrid working arrangements are also available.
With newly qualified pharmacists registering as prescribers from 2025‑2026, this is an exciting time to be part of the transformation of the pharmacy workforce. The key responsibility is to support staff through this transition and onward to advanced practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of pharmacy education and training programmes.
* Mentor, supervise, and support pharmacy staff and students.
* Contribute to clinical practice in primary or secondary care settings.
* Support continuous professional development and the advancement of an autonomous practitioner model.
Location: South East corner of Scotland. In the Scottish Borders region, excellent schooling and affordable housing are available, with large cities within easy reach if required.
