About the Role
The Regional Support Manager will lead, oversee and drive operational performance across a designated region within Healthcare Ireland Homes. The role focuses on high‑quality care delivery, compliance with regulatory standards and strong business performance.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver service improvement plans, enabling services to achieve improved outcomes.
* Work with the Regional Manager to enact evidence‑based, high‑impact changes in support budgets, agency management and recruitment.
* Identify areas for change, best approach and tools needed to continue improvement.
* Ensure improvements and projects align with policy and strategic development of services.
* Build on local and Home specific infrastructure for projects and programmes.
* Review and evaluate developments to reflect current thinking and input from Home teams.
* Assume 24/7 accountability and management responsibility for a Home when required.
* Negotiate and secure local stakeholder agreement to improvement programmes and projects.
* Ensure joint working and a consistent approach across Healthcare Ireland Homes.
* Contribute to planning, policy and decision‑making processes, including annual quality plans and budgets.
* Attend meetings and provide high‑quality information.
* Engage Senior Management Team, professional bodies, suppliers to ensure successful implementation of projects.
* Support Home Manager engagement in projects and continuous improvement.
* Support the professional development of Home Management teams.
* Monitor overall performance improvement and assist Regional Managers with strategy for non‑improving projects.
* Ensure compliance against all regulatory standards, requirements and guidelines.
* Act as advocate and role‑model for best practice and continuous improvement.
* Work with Senior Management and HR on people management, recruitment, employee relations and team development.
* Update and maintain regular reporting.
* Keep up to date with industry innovation, best practice and changes in regulation.
* Fulfil any other responsibility as reasonably required by the Directors.

Required Criteria
* The Right to Work in the UK.
* Registered Nurse with active NMC registration.
* 1 year experience in a regional position.
* Sound working knowledge of statutory requirements in care.
* Understanding of key business activities associated with a care home.
* Strong leadership ability in a demanding role.
* Strong communication skills.
Desired Criteria
* Good understanding of budgets.
