Job Description

The Workplace Team Leader (WPTL) is a pivotal role in the delivery of service for our client’s prestigious site. You will take full responsibility and lead the cleaning provision.

You will manage a team of up to 10 cleaning operatives, acting as the first point of contact for any employee concerns. Therefore, the ability to build strong working relationships is vital. You will also have your own specification to clean the building.

Your responsibilities include completing site-specific documentation and undertaking weekly audits on behalf of the cleaning service.

* Work flexibly across shifts to provide support to the team.
* Ensure essential weekly documents are completed on site.
* Apply positive communication to plan your week and minimize the effect of absences or changes to the team.
* Control, monitor, and manage materials and consumables; submit orders where appropriate in a timely manner.
* Undertake any other reasonable manager's requests in line with the role specification.
* Liaise and support colleagues to create flexible working relationships.
* Ensure equipment and cleaning areas are kept clean, tidy, and in good working condition.
* Report machinery faults and replacements immediately to the Workplace Services Manager.

Client Engagement

* Liaise with clients and monitor site delivery, ensuring regular and appropriate communication.
* Investigate and rectify client complaints and concerns swiftly; escalate to the Workplace Services Manager when required.

Team Engagement

* Maintain high standards of conduct and performance for yourself and the cleaning team.
* Plan cover across shifts when necessary, communicating effectively with the team about cover requirements.
* Ensure staffing levels are always maintained when supporting sickness at short notice.
* Support the recruitment process within Johnsons’ delivery management team.
* Complete new starter documentation and share it with your Workplace Services Manager.


Requirements

Shift and Schedule

* The role may require you to undertake greater hours than the contracted amount.
* Monday to Friday - 07:30 am to 15:30 pm. Ability to cover shifts over a 24-hour period required.
