We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic experienced Classroom Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Upper Key Stage 2. The role will include the role of a Midday Supervisor. This is a part-time position, working 27 hours per week, (8:45 - 3:15 with one afternoon off per week), term time only (38 weeks and 2 days per year). We aim for all children to become successful lifelong learners and are looking for someone that shares our ethos, someone who is passionate, motivated and enthusiastic about helping children to realise their potential by supporting and encouraging them as they strive to achieve their goals. The successful candidate will be required to set up learning areas, lead intervention groups and support children with learning needs as well as occasionally being responsible for the whole class, working in partnership with class teachers and other teaching assistants. Key Responsibilities:
 1. Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
 2. Work with small groups and individual pupils to support their learning and development.
 3. Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
 4. Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
 5. Contribute to the assessment and tracking of pupil progress.
 6. Support pupils with additional needs as required.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
 7. experience working with children in a school setting, preferably in KS2.
 8. a love of working with children and the ability to inspire learning and support development.
 9. good subject knowledge in reading, writing and maths to assist the teacher in delivering the lessons
 10. an understanding of the requirements of the National Curriculum (would be an advantage)
 11. high expectations of yourself and of children
 12. a good standard of education together with good numeracy and literacy skills. With English and Maths GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent).
 13. excellent interpersonal skills and a be good team player
 14. Be patient, caring, and committed to supporting children's learning.
 15. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 16. Be flexible and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
