Rigour Survey are a well-established survey company within East Anglia and the surrounding areas. The company has recently opened an office in the South of the UK and are seeking to expand the team further.

We are recruiting for a highly motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm to join our rapidly growing Norfolk based team as a Geospatial Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key figure in the growth of the company and have an impact in the direction of where the company is going.

With potential to fast track your skill set, using laser scanning, UAVs and photogrammetry, as well as the latest software packages including: LisCAD, Leica Cyclone, CloudWorx, 3DR, publisher, AutoCAD & Bentley Context Capture.

Overview

As a Geospatial Engineer, you occupy an integral role within the operations company. You will hold a strong practical and theoretical survey knowledge, be competent and confident in a variety of survey tasks, such as large geomatic surveys

Your primary role is to undertake survey work to a high standard, communicating clearly with team members and site contacts. A good understanding of survey specifications and requirements is essential, as is an approachable attitude. You are expected to be competent in working and managing multiple projects.

* The ability to understand and interpret geospatial data.
* Capable of carrying out complex geomatics land survey, recording site features using Leica total stations and GNSS.
* Traverse calculations (digital and manual).
* Process your own deliverable using computer-aided design to company standards.

* Have an understanding and good knowledge of survey bodies and associated standards with RICS, TSA, PAS:128.

Job Role & Accountabilities

* Assist in data capture and site operations.
* Conduct large and complex geomatics surveys.
* Undertake site GNSS data capture.
* Undertake spatial data capture as required
* Processing survey work to a high standard in CAD.
* Assist engineers in drafting survey notes and detailing deliverables.
* Compute basic traverse and levelling loops with associated site observations.
* Post-process fieldwork in line with Rigour Survey policies and standards.

Professional conduct

* Aid and support engineers in site surveying activities and workloads
* Analyse calculations per plot features.
* Coordinate with other team members on field survey activities.
* Maintain logs, reports, and records in relevant databases.
* Ensure compliance with established procedures and guidelines in survey activities.
* Monitor and track personal development.
* Risk assess various environments to ensure safety.
* Meet deadlines.
* Be punctual.
* Portray a prompt and professional manner.

Essential Requirements

1-2 years, field and office experience in a similar role.

Educated to GCSE Level (A-C Grades or equivalent).

Full Driving License.

Desired Requirements

A-Level qualifications.

Relevant degree or qualification.

CSCS Certified.

DBS Checked.

In house training is provided and ongoing professional development is a key focus for the company.
