Are you a motivated, professional and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist? Join our Talking Therapies service as a CBT therapist and support service users with complex anxiety and depression through high‑intensity cognitive behavioural therapy.
Post holders will work in the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Talking Therapies Service, providing specialist CBT assessment and therapy, offering advice and consultation to colleagues, and ensuring work aligns with NICE recommendations and BABCP professional guidelines.
Main duties of the job
* Provide high‑intensity CBT interventions to clients with complex anxiety and depression.
* Contribute to the teaching and training of mental health professionals and other staff.
* Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT formulations with sensitivity and clarity.
* Maintain accurate, confidential and secure patient and employee information in accordance with GDPR and the Trust’s Security and Confidentiality Policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Post‑graduate Masters level qualification (or equivalent) in Psychological Therapies Practice – High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or equivalent.
* BABCP accreditation or eligibility for BABCP accreditation.
Person Specification
* Understanding of evidence‑based psychological therapies and their relevance to this post.
* Good understanding of service contracts, performance targets and the importance of recording activity.
* Demonstrated experience working in mental health settings with clients presenting a range of mental health issues, particularly anxiety and depression.
* Ability to meet agreed service targets through effective caseload and time management.

£49,387 to £56,515 a year – per annum / pro rata
