Group Level Operational Lead
Location: South West (Multi‑Site) | Package: Competitive
Our client is a growing technical services group working across fire alarms, security systems, electrical testing and wider safety services. After a period of expansion, the business is now focused on improving service standards, safety, compliance and consistency across all sites — with a particular focus on fire and security alarm operations.
They are looking for an Operational Leader to lead and improve day‑to‑day service delivery for a multi‑site technical operation, managing thousands of planned and reactive jobs across the region.
The Role
* Oversee daily operations across multiple sites, with a strong focus on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control services
* Ensure engineers follow high safety, compliance and technical standards in a regulated environment
* Maintain consistent processes across fire and security service lines, supporting audits and certification requirements
* Take responsibility for job delivery, customer satisfaction and overall service performance
* Use reporting and data to spot issues, prioritise workloads and improve service levels
* Coach, support and develop local managers and technical field teams
* Help integrate acquired fire & security businesses into one consistent operating model
About You
You will ideally have:
* Experience managing teams in fire and security alarm services
* Working knowledge of industry compliance frameworks (e.g., NSI, BAFE, British Standards)
* A track record of improving service delivery across multiple sites
* Experience with both commercial and residential customer environments
* Good commercial awareness, including budgeting or P&L exposure
* Experience supporting teams through operational changes or service improvements
* A practical, hands‑on leadership approach that builds trust with engineers and technical teams
* A strong commitment to safety, compliance and reliable service performance
