We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
* Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to organisational standards
* Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
* Coordinate food production activities, ensuring timely delivery of orders during service hours
* Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Support in training new team members and providing ongoing coaching to existing staff
* Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and utilised efficiently
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service
Skills
* Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
* Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
* Demonstrated team management abilities, including leadership and conflict resolution skills
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
* Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on high-quality service delivery
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
