We're looking for a Fabric Engineer to join our Cambridgeshire Facilities Maintenance team based in Cambridgeshire.
Location: Cambridgeshire
Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00. Some flexibility on hours is available; please discuss this when you speak to us.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Fabric Engineer, you'll work within the Cambridgeshire Facilities Maintenance team, supporting the maintenance of safe, operational, and high-quality environments across various public service buildings.
Your daily tasks will include:
1. Surveying and assessing building fabric elements across multiple facilities to identify issues and recommend maintenance or improvements.
2. Supporting the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
3. Collaborating with site teams and clients to ensure smooth delivery of work and excellent customer service.
4. Producing reports and recommendations for minor works, including scoping requirements in line with contractual KPIs.
5. Ensuring all work complies with statutory requirements and internal policies.

* You have proven experience in a fabric-biased maintenance or surveying role.
* You hold a valid driving licence and are willing to travel across sites.
* You can work independently and manage a varied workload, including contributing to emergency response rotas.
