About the Role A leading UK infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its expanding energy delivery team. This role will take responsibility for the end‑to‑end management ofplex energy infrastructure schemes across transmission, distribution and associated power networks.
You will lead the delivery of technically demanding projects, ensuring safe,pliant andmercially successful oues, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction andmercial functions.This position offers the opportunity to work on critical national infrastructure projects supporting the UK’s evolving energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Leadership
1. Manage the full project lifecycle from early planning through construction to final handover
2. Lead site and office-based teams across civil, electrical andmercial disciplines
3. Drive programme, cost, quality and safety performance in line with business objectives
4. Coordinate closely with engineering, construction and supply chain teams to ensure successful delivery
Health, Safety & Environmental Management
5. Champion a positive health, safety and environmental culture on all projects
6. Ensure robust planning and implementation of RAMS and safe systems of work
7. Maintainpliance with all statutory regulations, industry standards and internal procedures
Programme & Planning
8. Work with planning teams to develop and manage detailed delivery programmes
9. Monitor progress, identify risks to delivery and implement recovery actions where required
10. Ensure effective resourcing and sequencing of works to maintain programme certainty
11. Manage financial performance, including forecasting, cost control and CVRs
12. Support procurement, subcontractor management and performance monitoring
13. Identify, manage and mitigatemercial and contractual risks
14. Operate confidently within NEC forms of contract
Client & Stakeholder Management
15. Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives
16. Provide regular progress updates, reporting and programme reviews
17. Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
18. Represent projects during audits, reviews and formal meetings
Technical & Regulatory Oversight
19. Coordinate design and engineering inputs to resolve on-site and programme challenges
20. Supportpliance with CDM regulations and Principal Contractor duties
About You
21. Proven experience delivering projects within the energy or utilities sector
22. Background in electrical infrastructure, transmission or distribution environments
23. Experience managing projects across a range of voltage levels
24. Strong understanding ofmercial management and NEC contracts
25. Confident managing multiple workstreams andplex stakeholder environments
26. Highly organised with strongmunication and leadership skills
