Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Compressor Service Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of air and gas compressor systems at client sites and in our service centre.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support on rotary screw, reciprocating, and centrifugal compressors.
* Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components.
* Install, commission, and test new equipment.
* Maintain accurate service records and report technical issues.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on all sites.
* Provide excellent customer service and technical support.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in servicing and maintaining industrial air compressors.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
* Engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Full UK driving license (or applicable in your region).
* Ability to work independently and travel to customer sites.
Desirable:
* OEM training or experience with major compressor brands (e.g., Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser, CompAir).
* Knowledge of compressed air system design and performance optimization.
* F-Gas certification (for refrigerant dryers, if applicable).
