We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and well‑motivated Band 5 Biomedical Scientist to join the Microbiology team at our Royal Gwent Hospital site.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a leading, people‑centred service that is innovative, dynamic and continually improving.
* Participate in the out‑of‑hours (OOH) service across a 24/7, 365‑day shift pattern once competent.
* Support continuous professional development (CPD) and the completion of an IBMS Specialist Portfolio if required.
* Maintain and contribute to a UKAS‑accredited, IBMS‑approved training laboratory.
Qualifications
* HCPC registration.
* Relevant experience in Microbiology.
* Desirable: ability to speak Welsh (Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome).

* Full‑time permanent role, 37.5 hours over a 7‑day working week.
* Full‑time: Contract basis.
