Job Description:
The role involves generating profitable sales growth exceeding budget targets through the geographical area, developing existing customer relationships, and exploring new opportunities. You will lead commercial activities, penetrate the market, and maintain strong contractual relationships with existing customers. You will be responsible for revenue and margin growth, focusing on the UK market for Purlins and Mezz lines of business within the construction sector.
The Role:
1. Identify target markets and accounts aligned with the business plan and strategy.
2. Manage sales budgets, achieve growth targets, and develop sales and profitability.
3. Execute pricing policies to maximize value and ensure margin control.
4. Provide commercial reports to senior management.
5. Support quarterly reviews and sales budgeting with detailed input.
6. Develop best practices within the sales team for efficient revenue capture.
7. Liaise with technical and operational teams regarding product viability and delivery.
8. Collaborate with Marketing to manage business development projects.
9. Analyze market environment to identify opportunities and threats.
10. Conduct daily business with ethical standards and company values.
11. Research competitors and develop competitive strategies.
12. Manage contracts from enquiry to order closure, ensuring margins.
13. Build market presence and maximize brand equity.
14. Align with operations and finance teams to meet commercial goals.
Travel Requirements:
* Travel approximately 60-70% of the time.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Over 5 years of experience in engineering, technical, or business disciplines.
* Experience managing key customers in construction markets, dealing with OEMs and supply networks.
* Proven revenue growth in a multimillion-pound region.
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of company finances.
* Experience working in UK/US business environments.
* Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
