Overview
We are looking for an Imaging Department Assistant to join our busy and friendly team. You will need to be able to take part in a rota that covers duties from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. seven days a week, worked over 37.5 hours per week for full timers, covering all three sites: Burton, Lichfield and Tamworth.

Responsibilities
* Assisting with patient care, hoisting, changing, moving and administration of patients within the Imaging department, and continuing that care where necessary throughout the imaging process
* Assisting healthcare professionals in performing imaging procedures (e.g., room preparation, preparation of contrast media, chaperoning of patients and general patient care)
* Supporting infection control measures in the Imaging Department (e.g., preparation of rooms and cleaning up afterwards)
* Being responsible for general cleaning and assisting in quality assurance programmes for associated equipment
* Being responsible for stock control in the area
* Assisting in the training of new non-radiographic staff, enabling them to become fully conversant with the duties applicable to them
* Familiarity with, and compliance with, Health & Safety, Ionising Radiation and COSHH policies as outlined by the Trust or department
* Ensuring that all clinical and other information records are fully and accurately completed, including the radiology computer system and hospital information system
