Safeguarding Statement
We are committed to keeping children and young people safe from harm and abuse and to promoting their welfare, and we expect that everyone who comes to work for us will share the same commitment. Fulfilling this responsibility includes making sure that our recruitment process includes a range of measures to identify those who may be unsuitable to work with children and young people. In addition, all roles within the school are covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, and are subject to an enhanced DBS check. These posts may also be subject to further DBS re-checks at appropriate intervals. Further information about what the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 means for applicants is provided on the Application Form. Applicants who will be undertaking early and/or later years childcare (or the management of such childcare) will be required to complete a declaration that they are not a disqualified person under the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2018. For further information, please see Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) documentation here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/keeping-children-safe-in-education--2 - all candidates should have read this document (Parts 1, 5 and annexe B) before considering to apply. You should also read the school's safeguarding policy, which can be found here https://www.arhprimary.co.uk/safeguarding/.
Social Media Checks
As part of the shortlisting process, in line with measures identified in statutory guidance relating to safeguarding practice, the school will conduct searches on candidates selected for interview, on social media and online searches in order to identify anything that could give rise to a safeguarding concern in what has been said or done virtually.

As an equal opportunities employer, the school is committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees and does not condone discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or marriage and civil partnership.
