Job Overview
The Engineering Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship is a comprehensive programme designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in engineering. It offers practical experience and develops essential engineering skills. Candidates will work 4 days onsite in Norbrook and study 1 day per week at SRC. The apprenticeship combines practical training with theoretical study.
Main Tasks/Activities:
1. Assist engineers in designing, testing, and implementing engineering solutions.
2. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
3. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
4. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
5. Document work activities including observations, measurements, and test results.
6. Adhere to GMP standards/guidelines and maintain a quality-oriented mindset.
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must demonstrate:
* GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Solid interest in a career in engineering
* Good communication skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and strong problem-solving skills
Duration:
2 years. The apprenticeship provides a foundation for further development, with potential progression to level 3 courses at the college.
