Job Role: Security Officer
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, over 5 days, schedule variable
Pay: £12.55 per hour
Location: Charter Walk Shopping Centre, Burnley, BB11 1AE
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Security Officer to join our established security team based at Charter Walk Shopping Centre, Burnley. The successful candidate will need to hold a valid SIA Licence as a minimum; a CCTV Licence is desirable but not essential to start. You will be required to provide a high level of customer service to visitors to the site, complete patrols, and remain vigilant at all times.
Duties Include:
1. Protecting the client’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and site-specific procedures.
2. Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures.
3. Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate, and appropriate manner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents.
4. Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
5. Maintaining the organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
6. Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
7. Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors to the site, providing a professional and friendly service.
8. Understanding the needs of our customer, responding accordingly to customer queries and requests and taking appropriate action.
9. Maintaining professional conduct at all times.
