Do you enjoy technology and working with children? Want a fun, flexible role supporting after-school computing clubs?
TMC Computing is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic assistant to support our growing after-school clubs. You’ll be working alongside the club leader to help run engaging, hands-on sessions in coding, digital creativity, robotics, Minecraft Education and more.
This is a perfect role for someone who enjoys computers, wants experience working in schools, or simply loves helping children learn new skills.
The Role (Supporting Position)
As an After-School Club Assistant, you will:
* Support the club leader in delivering fun, organised computing sessions.
* Help children aged 5–13 with simple tasks, activities and instructions.
* Assist with setting up laptops/equipment before sessions and packing away afterwards.
* Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork and confidence.
* Be an extra pair of hands to ensure the session runs smoothly and safely.
You don’t need to be a tech expert, just confident with basic computer use. We’re looking for someone who is:
* Friendly, patient and great with children.
* Happy to follow instructions from the club leader.
* Supportive and able to assist with small groups or individual pupils.
* Organised and helpful, especially with equipment.
* Reliable, punctual and positive.
* Full training and mentoring.
* Casual dress (TMC Computing t-shirt provided).
* Fun, creative sessions every week.
* Opportunities to increase hours as clubs expand.
* Opportunities to progress to Club Leader
