Job title: Regional Director

Location: Based in the North of England

Salary: up to £110,000 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed Term - 12 months

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm


Job Purpose

The Regional Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across a defined region. This role ensures that schools meet their development plans, achieve group-wide expectations, and deliver excellent outcomes for children and young people.

This position provides additional leadership capacity within the region and ensures consistent oversight across multiple sites, with a focus on quality, safeguarding, staff wellbeing, financial performance, and growth.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide overall leadership and management of schools within the designated region.
* Drive continuous improvement in quality standards, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
* Monitor financial performance, budgets, and sustainability targets.
* Support, challenge, and develop school leaders, promoting a culture of accountability and improvement.
* Champion and embed OFG values, policies, and frameworks across the region.
* Lead and support change initiatives to deliver sustainable improvement.
* Strengthen communication and collaboration between schools and central services.
* Represent OFG at external stakeholder meetings and with commissioners.


Person Specification

Essential Experience:

* Proven senior leadership experience in education or another regulated multi-site environment.
* Strong track record of managing and improving performance across multiple services or schools.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver sustainable financial and operational outcomes.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
* Strong financial and commercial awareness.


Desirable Experience:

* Knowledge of Ofsted or other regulatory frameworks.
* Experience in managing change or growth programmes.
* Evidence of successful collaboration with external partners or commissioners.


Standard Responsibilities

* Participate in annual performance review.
* Work in accordance with OFG Group policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
* Observe confidentiality appropriate to the role.
* Comply with Health & Safety requirements to ensure personal and colleague wellbeing.
* Undertake other duties as reasonably required.
