Business Solution Lead – ERP Programme

The Role
We are seeking a Business Solution Lead to take ownership of the end-to-end business and application architecture for a large ERP transformation programme centred around SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
This is a business-led solution design role responsible for ensuring business processes, data, integrations, security, and reporting operate cohesively to deliver a fit-to-standard, scalable, and future-proof ERP solution.
The successful candidate will act as the solution design authority, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, technical delivery teams, and programme leadership.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Solution Ownership
Own the overall business and application architecture for the ERP programme.
Ensure all solution components including process, data, integrations, security, and reporting work together effectively.
Maintain a clear future state solution design blueprint.
Design Authority & Governance
Act as the primary authority for solution design decisions across workstreams.
Lead governance ensuring adherence to fit-to-standard principles and SAP Public Cloud guardrails.
Resolve cross-functional design issues.
Business Alignment
Translate business requirements into integrated and feasible solution designs.
Challenge complexity and drive standardised processes.
Ensure stakeholders understand design implications and trade-offs.
Cross-Team Leadership
Act as the bridge between business process owners, change teams, technical teams, and delivery partners.
Provide guidance to functional leads, data teams, integration teams, and security specialists.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
Identify and mitigate solution design risks early.
Ensure the solution meets compliance, audit, and control requirements.
Future-State Focus
Ensure the ERP solution is scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term business strategy.
Support operational readiness and transition to BAU support.
Required Experience
Essential:
Proven experience leading end-to-end ERP solution design.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or similar cloud ERP platforms.
Strong experience working across business processes, data, integrations, and user experience.
Experience leading solution governance and resolving cross-functional design issues.
Skills:
Strong architectural thinking and problem-solving ability.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
Ability to guide teams towards fit-to-standard solutions.
Understanding of cloud ERP constraints and extensibility models.
