Teaching Personnel are working with a range of high-quality SEMH schools, PRUs, and alternative provisions across East Manchester who are keen to support early career teachers as they begin their journey in education.

Your Role

You’ll work with pupils aged 5–16 who benefit from consistent support, structure, and positive relationships.

In your day-to-day role, you will:

* Deliver and support engaging, adapted lessons for learners with SEMH needs
* Build strong, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement
* Use de-escalation and behaviour strategies to maintain a calm environment
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to re-engage them in learning
* Work closely with pastoral teams, behaviour mentors, and SEN professionals
* Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive classroom culture

Specialist Training Provided:

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

* A final-year teaching student or newly qualified teacher (ECT)
* Passionate about working with pupils with SEMH or additional needs
* Resilient, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure
* Motivated to develop specialist behaviour and inclusion skills
* Ready to work Monday–Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)
* Willing to obtain (or already hold) an Enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
