Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to join Royal London. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting services for the Group, including Board and Committee reporting, Press Release reporting, and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
This role supports the monthly production of the UK GAAP consolidation, collaborating with Finance stakeholders to ensure compliance with external standards and timely delivery.
You will work with Board and Audit Committee members to interpret financial results and facilitate effective decision-making, contributing to the Group's financial resilience.
Joining the Financial & Regulatory Reporting team, you will become part of a team of skilled accountants, developing your financial reporting expertise in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the monthly UK GAAP consolidation process.
2. Analyze and challenge reported results, providing clear explanations.
3. Prepare reports for the Audit Committee and Board.
4. Prepare subsidiary statutory accounts.
5. Assist the Head of Financial & Regulatory Reporting in enhancing the control environment.
About You:
* Qualified accountant with experience in financial reporting.
* Knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS for insurance entities.
* Experience in preparing or auditing financial statements.
* Understanding of insurance accounting principles, systems, and procedures.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills.
* Excellent report writing skills tailored to diverse audiences.
