Your role at BRE
This role is responsible for delivering BRE’s certification services for passive fire protection products and systems. Key responsibilities include:
* Conduct technical reviews and evaluations of products against LPCB certification schemes, UKCA, and Construction Products Regulation requirements.
* Manage certification projects from initial enquiry to issue of certificate, specification, and scope.
* Develop and maintain test schedules, and review test data and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
* Liaise with internal teams, customers, approval agencies, and accreditation bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Participate in internal and external audits to maintain compliance with ISO 17065 and BRE quality standards.
* Prioritise and manage work to meet customer and organisational objectives while supporting team efficiency.
What we are looking for
* Technical competence in Passive Fire Protection and knowledge of relevant product standards, regulations, and certification schemes (LPCB, UKCA, CPR).
* Experience in product testing, evaluation, and certification processes, including the review of technical data and documentation.
* Understanding of management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing processes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Organisational skills to plan and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Experience working with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders in a technical or project-focused environment.
* Willingness to travel occasionally, within the UK and internationally.

Work Location Options
Hybrid – This role offers a mix of home and office working. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford office, as you will be expected to attend in person 3 times per week.
