Overview
An experienced Health & Safety Manager is required to lead and manage all safety, health and wellbeing activities on a major nuclear and civil infrastructure project in Whitehaven. The role focuses on ensuring full compliance with UK legislation, nuclear site requirements and project safety standards within a highly regulated environment.

It would particularly appeal to someone confident working with senior stakeholders, managing subcontractors and promoting a proactive safety culture while ensuring strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and continuous improvement of the project Health & Safety Management System.
* Provide expert safety advice to the Project Director and senior leadership team.
* Conduct site inspections, audits and assurance activities to ensure full compliance.
* Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions.
* Review and monitor RAMS, construction safety documentation and high-risk activities on site.
Requirements
* Proven experience in Senior Health & Safety positions.
* Previous experience on Nuclear related projects.
* NEBOSH certified
* CMIOSH highly desirable
* Lead Auditor certified desirable
Location & Details
Location: Whitehaven
Permanent: Full Time, 40 hrs
Salary: circa £71k (dependent on experience) + £5.7k Car Allowance
