Lecturer in Electrical Installation 0.6 (EL710)
Salary: £27,486 - £41,467 pro rata per annum (Actual £16,491 - £24,880)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 22.2 hrs per week
Location: Ellesmere Port Campus
Responsibilities
* Prepare and teach on a range of Electrical Installation courses, including T Level BSE (Building Services Engineering) or equivalent
* Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment
* Keep accurate records for learners' progress in College
Key Person Specification Requirements
* Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation/Electrical Engineering and/or a minimum of 5 years industry experience with a Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation
* GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths
* PGCE or commitment to work towards
* Proven experience of electronic and electrical systems including industrial, power and electronics, fault finding procedures and control systems
* Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment
* Up-to-date occupational experience
* Enhanced DBS check
Additional Information
We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme which provides staff with a range of support and training based on previous experience and individual need. The programme includes inductions related to college systems and processes, an assigned curriculum mentor and regular 1-2-1 support from the Quality team. Industry experts without a teaching qualification will be supported through the Introduction to Teaching at Cheshire College South & West 12-week programme.
