Job Description:
Once fully trained, an LSA will deliver a robust quality claims support service focused on customers and claim quality. They will provide legal support and advice during personal injury and uninsured losses claims, managing the process through to Court Hearing. An LSA handles various legal activities throughout the claim lifecycle, ensuring high-quality completion and adherence to processes. From the outset, the trainee LSA will have case ownership from instruction to conclusion.
The role involves customer contact via calls and written communication, providing legal advice and support through the Minster Claims process. Responsibilities include reviewing medical reports, applying quantum, and drafting Court documents as needed.
Core Responsibilities
* Contact customers within service levels, providing advice on claims procedures.
* Advise Business Partners on success prospects.
* Complete legal activities accurately within service levels.
* Ensure excellent customer care and optimal outcomes.
* Handle personal injury and uninsured loss claims, understanding procedures and timelines.
* Own technical and legal activities for swift claim progression.
* Deal with complex cases, causation arguments, and disputed liability with minimal supervision.
* Work in a process-driven environment.
* Assess liability and quantum, including medical report reviews.
* Meet individual and team objectives.
* Assist colleagues during peak periods with administrative tasks.
* Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators
KPIs include completing a comprehensive training plan, customer satisfaction, call quality, quantum assessment, compliance, activity completion, productivity, and litigation outcomes. Performance reviews will be conducted regularly.
Person Specification
* Experience in customer service with excellent care delivery.
* Experience in personal injury or uninsured losses claims.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
* Strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
* Resilience and initiative.
* Litigation experience through to small claims hearings.
* Experience with complex causation and liability disputes.

Working Hours
Based in Wakefield. Full-time role with consideration for part-time (28 hours). Core hours are 8am–6pm.
