Join the Caring Team at Nightingale Care Home nestled in the scenic surroundings of Dungannon with stunning views over Black Lough. Nightingale Care Home offers a warm and welcoming environment for our residents with 34 General Nursing beds and 10 General Residential beds and a dedicated focus on delivering the highest quality of personalised care to meet each resident’s unique needs. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living and ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents. You will provide emotional support, companionship, and act as an advocate for the rights and preferences of our residents.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to help residents maintain a good quality of life.
* Encourage independence and participation in activities.
* Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
* Support nursing and healthcare teams by monitoring residents’ well-being and reporting any changes in health or behaviour.
* Follow care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs, ensuring comfort and safety.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.
Qualifications
* Right to work in the United Kingdom.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good standard of oral and written English.
* Non-judgemental approach to others.
* Excellent communication skills with compassion required to deliver high-quality care.
* Respectful towards residents and the values and beliefs of other team members.
* Educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2 is desirable.
* Previous experience in health and social care preferred; full training will be provided if necessary.
