Paraplanner

Full Time - Permanent

£35,000 – £45,000 DOE + annual bonus

Based in Stockport

A well-established financial services firm is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its team at the start of the new year. This role plays a key part in supporting advisers and ensuring clients receive clear, accurate and compliant financial planning recommendations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Paraplanning, excellent technical ability, and a genuine interest in contributing to a high-performing and collaborative team.

Key responsibilities of the Paraplanner:

Produce clear, accurate and compliant suitability reports, research notes and financial planning documentation.

Research appropriate products, providers and solutions in line with client needs and risk profiles.

Analyse existing pensions and investment portfolios, including drawdown and policy reviews, using internal tools.

Support advisers with technical input across private and corporate clients, including preparation of financial planning solutions and associated paperwork.

Check the accuracy and consistency of information gathered by advisers, ensuring full compliance with FCA and internal standards.

Provide technical guidance to internal teams and assist with occasional telephone cover when required.

Contribute to project work as allocated by the Paraplanning Manager or senior leadership.

Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through ongoing learning and industry updates.

Key requirements for the Paraplanner:

Financial services experience specifically within a dedicated Paraplanning role.

Level 4 Diploma (desirable); part-qualified candidates actively working towards qualification will be considered.

Strong understanding of financial planning processes, tools, and industry software.

Excellent attention to detail, high standards of accuracy and strong written communication.

Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining compliance.

Confident working collaboratively with advisers and wider teams.

Proactive, organised and committed to delivering a high-quality service.
