Contract Duration: 12 months' (very likely to extend!)
Pay Rate: £18.93 per hour
Shift Pattern: Shift premium applied also.
24/7 Shift pattern.
4 Nights - 2 days off - 3 days on - 2 days off - 3 nights on - 2 days off - 4 days on - 8 days off.
The whole cycle is 28 days in which you work 14.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Global Engine Development team at a major engine research and manufacturing facility in Peterborough. This team plays a critical role in the development, validation, and certification of new engine products, as well as supporting existing platforms.
As a Development & Research Engine Test Technician, you will support engineers in technical investigations covering current and future products, components, materials, and processes. About the Environment
The site designs, tests, and manufactures 0.5L to 18L engines used across a wide range of applications, including marine, industrial, power generation, and rail. Sustainability and future-focused energy solutions are central to ongoing development programs.

Working in line with the organisation's Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work
Following documented procedures to ensure safe, accurate, and defect-free engine installations into test cells
Connecting test measurement equipment and services to enable high-quality data collection
Liaising closely with engineers responsible for engine test programs
Diagnosing and resolving faults on engines and test cell equipment
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with 5S and TPM principles
Supporting continuous improvement and value stream projects
Undertaking training and development to enhance technical capabilityDesirable Experience
Engine or mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding experience
Background in motor vehicle maintenance or engine testing
Completion of an engineering or motor mechanics apprenticeship
Relevant work experience and some form of higher or further technical educationApplication Guidance
