This role will be part of the Development team responsible for providing application development for Hexagon Safety and Infrastructure. The successful candidate must have a passion for technology, a logical aptitude and a demonstrable software programming capability and mind set. Duties and Responsibilities To be able to write a high- level design specification based on communication with the customer. Development of and support for locally developed code in accordance with the defined design and interface specifications. Generation of efficient and compliant code in accordance with established coding guidelines, identified Human Factors and industry best practices. Ensuring that all code developed is correctly documented, tested and securely maintained. Communication of any changes arising to the interfaces, database schema, design documentation and installation documentation, because of the accepted solution. Responsible for undertaking defect impact assessment and resolution to support the fixes release plan and the planned test events. Working to defined project methodologies and adhering to documented procedures. Clearly and regularly communicating with management and technical support colleagues. Job requirements Essential Minimum of 6 years of practical experience of modern programming language(s), including C# & .NET Experience of working with RDBMS Full clean driving licence. Must be security cleared or able to be cleared without issue. Desirable Web Services & WCF Microsoft Entity Framework Oracle DBMS or SQL Server HTML, JavaScript, React, Angular Experience of DevOps and/or GIT Azure development Advantageous WPF, C++ Workflow foundation Computer Aided Dispatch experience Use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Attributes: Proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Good communication skills written and oral. Contributor in team meetings Able to demonstrate ability to work to defined deadlines.
