Cover Supervisors Needed for Secondary Schools in Sussex Are you a confident and experienced individual with a passion for working with young people? The Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms and ensuring students remain on-task with pre-set work. Your main duties will include: Supervising classes of students in the absence of their regular teacher. Managing the behaviour of students to maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Distributing and explaining pre-planned lesson materials. Assisting students with their work and answering questions to the best of your ability. Providing feedback to the returning teacher on the progress made and any issues that arose. Upholding the school's policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Requirements: Proven experience working with young people, preferably in a school or similar setting. Confidence and strong presence to effectively manage a classroom of secondary school students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to be adaptable, resilient, and think on your feet. A proactive and positive attitude.
