Salary: £29,700
Shift Pattern: 1 week on / 1 week off
Working Days (on rotation): Thurs, Fri, Sat – 7:00am–7:30pm | Sunday Off | Mon, Tues, Wed - 7:00am - 7:30pm
About the Role
We’re looking for an Able Seafarer to support the safe and efficient operation of vessels across the PD Ports fleet. This is a hands-on role covering deck duties, dredging support, and day-to-day vessel operations, working closely with the Master and senior crew.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with mooring and unmooring operations
* Support navigational watchkeeping
* Operate and assist with dredging equipment and deck machinery
* Maintain deck equipment to a safe, operational standard
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping onboard
* Support bunkering, watering, and general vessel activities
* Assist with planned maintenance tasks
* Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
* Report hazards, defects, and incidents promptly
* Provide cover across the fleet as required
Requirements
* Navigational Watch Rating Certificate (essential)
* Valid ENG1 Medical (essential)
* Previous marine/seafaring experience
* Dredging or similar experience (desirable)
* Engine Room Watch Rating (desirable)
