We are seeking an engaging and dedicated Part-Time Primary School PPA Teacher to join a welcoming rural Welsh-speaking primary school in the heart of Torfaen. This school is committed to providing a high level of education to their children by creating a stimulating environment. They are very proud of their Welsh heritage and as such are a Welsh-medium school, giving their children the opportunity to receive their education in Welsh. Because of this, we are specifically looking for teachers who speak Welsh.
About this Primary PPA Teacher role:
Job Role - PPA teaching, covering a primary school.
Location - Torfaen.
Salary - MPS1 - MPS6 (£166.36 - £223.63).
Working Hours - 9am - 4pm, 3 days a week. (Ideally Tues to Thurs, but there is flexibility in this)

A valid right to work in the UK.
Previous experience teaching in a Primary School setting.
Must be fluent in Welsh.
Hold the appropriate degree, UK QTS or equivalent.
Hold an Enhanced Child workforce DBS with an update service subscription, or be willing to apply for one. As a PPA Teacher you will need to:
Deliver pre-planned lessons set by the class teacher primarily in core subjects.
Ensure pupils stay on track with their learning, keeping lessons consistent with the wider curriculum and supporting class teachers’ long-term plans.
Manage classroom behaviour to help maintain a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with class teachers to share pupil insights and provide continuity in classroom routines and expectations.
Build relationships with the pupils across the school as you will be teaching in a variety of different classes. Please note: a full registration with ANZUK may be required for this role.
