Role: Deputy Manager
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our leadership team in a dynamic domiciliary care service supporting individuals to live independently in their own homes. As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the service, working closely with the Registered Manager to lead, support, and develop a large team of dedicated care professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strong leadership to a team, promoting a positive and supportive working culture
2. Drive high standards by supporting with the recruitment, training, and performance development of care staff
3. Ensure care is delivered in line with individual care plans, regulatory standards, and best practice guidelines
4. Take an active role in rota planning and ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times
5. Lead and manage staff performance, including conducting supervisions, appraisals, and managing disciplinary or capability issues
6. Support with compliance and quality monitoring in line with CQC requirements
7. Assist in audits, care reviews, risk assessments, and safeguarding investigations
8. Build strong relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders
9. Deputise for the Registered Manager as required, including attending meetings and liaising with regulatory bodies
10. Liaise effectively with local authorities, health and social care professionals, and other agencies to ensure coordinated and high-quality care delivery
11. Be part of the on-call rota and respond to emergencies or staff absences as needed
What We're Looking For:
12. Experience in a senior care role within domiciliary care (e.g., Senior Carer, Field Care Supervisor, Team Leader, etc.)
13. Preferably NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care
14. Strong leadership and team management skills
15. Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures
16. Strong organisational and communication skills
17. Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings/weekends/on-call duties
18. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
